Bia Cerqueira (Chair)Hi people! My name is Beatriz (23), more known as Bia, and I am presenting myself as the chair of the WSF for this new period. I have taken this challenge (and opportunity) right after I joined the WSF as an active member, to contribute more directly to the mission of this amazing association and all of its projects. As a chair, I hope to adequately represent the WSF and honour its principles, while contributing to the achievement of the proposed goals. I have always been passionate about farming, a fact that encouraged me to become an Agronomic Engineer. Now, at Wageningen University and Research, I am focusing on environmental issues in my MSc in Environmental Sciences with a specialisation in Environmental Policy. For me, having the possibility to integrate the board of the WSF is an honour, since it allows me to know amazing projects and people who, like me, are passionate about agriculture, sustainability, and environmental preservation. If you have any question or simply some words you would like to write, feel free to contact me. Looking forward to meeting you! :)
Harlino Prayudha (Secretary)Hi there! Harlino’s here and I will be the secretary of WSF in this board period. As the secretary, it is my duty to keep you updated with our weekly newsletter and emailing stuff, feel free to be in touch for this :) Apart from that, I am in my second year of MSc Plant Sciences at the moment. I have that kind of calling if it refers to plant stuff. I love to explore and do experiments in farming, I feel it was more rewarding to put my knowledge into practice. If you ask me what I like about WSF, I would say, the endless possibilities of gaining connection with nature and having all of those conversations with the lovely people here. I really looking forward to seeing you soon!
Chiara Laune (Commissioner of Activities)Hey all! I am Chiara (20), and I am finishing up my Animal Sciences Bsc, soon to be part of the Agroecology Msc. I discovered WSF through Nikki and Ellen, who seemed very happy as board members. After covid and not being in Wageningen much, being on the field and having the chance to be part of this wonderful project was a true blessing! It is always the perfect place to let the mind roam free, have insightful discussions with other members, be surrounded by nature and get to see the projects grow! After a few months of being a member, I decided to take more responsibilities. The student farm is such a unique and energy-filled space, and I hope I can contribute to keeping it the way it is 😊. If you come up with any fun idea about an activity we could organize, don’t hesitate to send me a message or you can just chat with me during the working sessions, I’m there every Thursday ! I would be happy to help any nice project come to reality ✨

Ellen Hoekstra (Field Commissioner)Hello and welcome! My name is Ellen, and together with Zoé I am field commissioner of WSF. I grew up on a little farm somewhere in the middle of the French countryside, and that’s probably why I have always been at my happiest when outside. Next to the farm, I study Animal Sciences and am writing my thesis about agroecology, which is what I am really passionate about: where nature and farming meet.
Becoming field commissioner gives me the opportunity to be involved with WSF while making sure I spend as much time as possible on the field. WSF for me is that small corner of Wageningen where you can garden to your heart’s content, have the loveliest inspiring conversations, learn and grow (food) together with some of the nicest people around. It’s also the place you always leave feeling happier than when you arrived, whether frozen to the bones, soaked through, slightly sunburnt or muddy and with little cuts everywhere (the things we do for love, right?). So I hope to see you around on the field. Zoé & I are here for any conversations, questions, ideas or dreams you might have. Come & join us soon! Nikki van Roekel (Treasurer)Hi everyone I am Nikki van Roekel (20) and the new treasurer of WSF. Last year I was part of the board as well, only as a secretary. I enjoyed my time on the board so much that I decided to stay on, only now as a treasurer to give me something new to focus on. I currently study Animal Sciences, yes I know it is not the most popular study among the farm members, but besides animals I really enjoy being outside and joining the lovely community we have built. I joined the farm almost 1,5 years ago because I wanted to meet new people and that definitely worked out for me. It's just very relaxing to just play around in the dirt every once in a while to let your brain rest while in the meantime meeting super nice people! Then because I enjoyed the farm so much I joined the board because I wanted to be a bit more involved in the actual management of the farm, just getting a peek behind the curtains, and I have been enjoying it a lot so far! Feel free to contact me, I am almost always open for questions or just fun conversations 😊
Adele Galiegue (Commissioner of Communication)🌸Hello lovely people 🌸✨! I am Adèle (18) and the new commissioner of communication for the coming year ! I’m studying the BSc Environmental Sciences and joined WSF only recently after months of hearing Ellen, my roommate and field commissioner, telling me how peaceful and resting the farm is. She was right, I met wonderful, mindful, open-minded people. When you are in the field, it’s as if you're untouched by time, the clock stops and you are just enjoying the sun and the fresh air. 🌞🌱During this board year, I would love to spread Wageningen the delight of being in the field. I’ll be the one asking if I can take pictures of you and posting a social media with plenty of ✨🌸🌻🍄. Looking forward to meet you all and grow together 💚
